With over 30 years of performing and composing experience, Anthony Carafone began his career as a guitarist for local bands in Boston. Furthering his education, Anthony enrolled at Berklee College of Music. He was a member of The Songwriter’s Forum and NOMTI (New Opera and Musical Theatre Initiatives). Anthony graduated with a Bachelor’s Degree in Music Education, and minored in Composition and Arranging.
Anthony ventured into musical theatre by writing the music for MANHATTAN MAMA, which had its debut at the Opus Playhouse in Florida. Collaborating with playwright Mike Maloney, Anthony composed the music and lyrics for a second full-length musical called BEANTOWN. In the recent past he collaborated with Hortense Gerardo writing the music for two mini-musicals THE RIVER OF BABYLON and NO ENTRY.
In 2011, Anthony relocated to Los Angeles and quickly established himself as a performer and session guitarist. Anthony is currently composing the music for a new webcast series called THE BOOK OF SKULLS. He continues to perform in and around the Los Angeles area with the Shanna O’Brien band and is the musical director for the open mic night house band at Kulaks Woodshed. |
